I got a new bike!. Its a BMX style minivelo made by Kyoot. Honestly I hate big bikes. It seems thats mostly what you see especially at a bike shop. And they seem to just be getting bigger and bigger. I’ve seen bikes on youtube with 32" wheels and huge frames. Rediculous. This Rolly Polly fits me pretty well. 10 speeds for my hilly area. The color is called Iced Matcha.

We back baby!
Welcome back. I’ve decided to show up. I’ve picked this blog back up. Also checkout the new theme. I used to be apart of a community that skinned applications way the fuck back in the early 2000s. That community had a lot of overlap with the Litestep community for obvious reason. FPNs blog was one I frequented often to get news. So I ripped it off for my blog. I think it looks pretty cool.

vSphere GuestStore: An easy way to update VMware Tools
If your environment is offline, i.e. totally disconnected from the internet, it can be tough to update things. I’ve dealt with this with WSUS, SCCM, and now VMware Tools. Let’s make it easy. The Hard Way Updating Tools on the ESXi host required uploading to the datastore, chmodding, some esxcli commands, and setting up symlinks(Installing and upgrading the latest version of VMware Tools on existing hosts (2129825)). While this is fine, it is a few more steps than I would like.

Ok if you understand the title of this post you are officially old. Welcome to this blog. It will probably die. But I will try to post the things I learn so I can share the knowledge and hopefully people searching for weird niche issues can find solutions. I really need to thank Chrissy LeMaire (Twitter, Github) for encouraging me to create this blog and honestly so many other things.
